On October 26, my sister gave birth to this beautiful little lady. Little May is already so loved, especially by Kate. She loves touching her soft ears and dark hair. We’re already smitten by her calm demeanor.
Saturday, my sister & sister-in-law threw me the cutest shower! It was so great to see so many of my aunts & cousins. I feel extremely blessed (& spoiled).
When Clint’s parents come in to town from Missouri, we try to pretend that we get out & do things 😉 Yesterday after little Drew was blessed, we drove up Big Cottonwood & ate some delicious chili, courtesy of Talin & her mad skills. I have the cutest niece & nephew in the land. Check ’em out.
This year, all the Horn siblings made it to the Renaissance Fair together! If you don’t recall, May was the month of rain, which made this years fair pretty interesting. Some of the shops either closed early or weren’t there at all the day we went, but it was still fun to show off our costumes that we had worked so hard on.
Clint’s shirt and vest, and my little peplum vest was made from a floor-length dress/vest thing 🙂 We cut the bottom of the dress off and used the extra pieces to make the peplum ruffles.

A couple weeks ago we went up to the Payson Lakes with the Clark family & the kids had an absolute blast. Growing up, I remember swimming, fishing and floating around in tubes at this lake with my siblings every summer. It was so fun to reminisce as I watched my little nieces & nephews dig mud holes & skip rocks.
Growing up, my parents always took us to this little pumpkin patch in Draper to pick our pumpkins. So obviously we had to take the littles for their first Halloween and continue the tradition.

Every summer, my mom’s family gathers up Payson Canyon. Some of my favorite childhood memories were created at that camp ground. Playing “court” on a fallen tree, eating pizza that my grandma and grandpa brought up every year, reuniting and catching up with all of my incredible cousins. We would sit around the camp fire for hours and play “guess the movie or song” and listen to my mom tell hilarious and mostly inappropriate stories. As the years have passed, the number of us that make it to the campout have dwindled, but it’s still one of my favorite summer events.
It’s just amazing to see the legacy that my grandparents created.
Sadly, I only got out my camera on Saturday morning at the campout, so for the most part, these are just the early risers. :]
At the end of May, my sister invited Clint & I to tag along to a renaissance fair up in northern Utah. At first, neither of us were sold, but it was something to do & somewhere to go. They told some awesome stories from past years & that’s all it took.
The morning of the fair, we went over to my sister’s house, got out their bucket full of awesome costumes from past halloweens & we put together some amazing barbarian outfits.
There was some prime people watching, delicious, freshly made root beer, and handmade armor and weapons. Also, there were mermaids, which I didn’t take pictures of because they were all…too revealing & it was not pleasant.
Without further ado, behold my adorable niece and fun little snippets from the day.
